Happy FriYAY!! I hope you’re having a wonderful evening. The point of this post 🌵😆 is to ask: Who do you think you are? No really, what comes to mind when you think about yourself? Because it’s important. 💛 It doesn’t matter what people think about you. All that matters is what you think about yourself. What God has said about you doesn’t benefit you at all until you agree. And He has a LOT of good things to say about you! 💛 Stop waiting for people to change their mind about you before you do what God has called you to do. Stop waiting for people to change their mind about you before you realize your worth. They may never see it. They may never value it. But God does! 💛 I want to encourage you - move forward in God and let nothing stop you from fulfilling your purpose. Let no one hinder you. 💛 Speak it into existence how important you are in the eyes of the creator until you believe it. “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…” Proverbs 23:7 💛 So think on these things: The creator of this universe breathed into your nostrils the breath of life (Genesis 2:7). His eyes saw your unformed substance (Psalm 139:16). He knit you together in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). He knows the number of hairs on your head, and before a word is on your tongue He knows it (Matthew 10:30; Psalm 139:4). You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). HE LOVES YOU, YES, YOU.
WHY SO SALTY? 🧂 Because when it comes to a bath soak, being salty is a good thing. 🛁 This simple DIY will relax, detoxify, and make you feel pampered all at the same time. Yes, please! 💁🏻‍♀️ INGREDIENTS: All of these can be found on Amazon. You can double this recipe or triple it to create a larger batch to pull from as needed. 1️⃣ 1 cup of a sea salt (I used Dead Sea Salt) 2️⃣ 1/2 cup epsom salt 🧂 OPTIONAL: 3️⃣ 1/4 cup of a carrier oil (olive, almond, apricot kern, or grape seed oil will do just fine) 4️⃣ 1/4 cup of baking soda (I did not put this in my soak, but a lot of people do. It is one of the main ingredients in bath bombs so if you use those a lot, you may want to add some baking soda) 5️⃣ Essential oils of your choice (5-20 drops). Be cautious of which ones you use. Soaking in them for a long time when your pores are opened up due to hot water can cause irritation when it typically wouldn’t. Lavender, rosemary, eucalyptus, and lemongrass all smell lovely, but you can always add more later so don’t overdue it. ‼️‼️⤵️‼️‼️ Which brand of Essential Oils do I recommend? This is a question I get often and I now have a answer for you guys... Well, my line. 😳 YUP, you read that right! I will be launching my own Certified Organic Essential Oil line in October. But if you do not want to wait that long to make this, try and find one at your local food store that is certified organic. 💛 Directions: Add 1/2 of the DIY amount above or all of it to a hot bath. Soak and enjoy!
👋🏼 Hi Skin Balm Fam 👋🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We have a lot of new fam members on here, so I wanted to introduce myself and share a bit on how SBA became what it is today. 😊 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My name is Chelsea Higgason & I am the founder of Skin Balm Apothecary (SBA). I started making my own skincare back in 2010 when I realized just how much junk was in the so called “natural” skincare that I was paying a lot of money for. Always read the ingredients in your products! Never trust the claims on the front of a label. Okay, moving on... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I decided to enroll in Herbalism School in 2013 because I wanted to learn the proper way to bring nature and skincare together. I learned that there is definitely a proper way of incorporating nature and skincare! As an educated herbalist, I understand the importance of blending ingredients intentionally when it comes to making skincare. 🤓 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The Eye Balm was one of the first products I created. Crazy to think it’s been around for almost 10 years now! At that time, my “The Eye Balm” was the first of its kind and I created it because clear mascara wasn’t cutting it and had too much junk in it. I wanted something to naturally grow my lashes, hold the curl, and not bother my eyes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I started making products for family and friends. From their feedback, I adapted my products to meet the needs of many different skin types. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I got more requests for products and saw a need for ORGANIC and natural skincare. Natural is not enough in my opinion - organic is just as important. 💛 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ After much encouragement from several awesome people, I decided to launch SBA online officially in 2016. Never in my wildest dreams did I think SBA would be what it is today. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Thanks to all of your support, Skin Balm Apothecary is what I do full time and I love it. God has turned my company into something beyond what I ever thought possible! isn’t that just like Him though — to go above and beyond what we think possible. ☺️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There is a lot more to the story that I will eventually share with you, but if you have any questions before the story continues, feel free to ask. 💗😃⤵️
Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸 The original plan was to rock this red dress and get a quick Independence Day photo in front of a cool mural or something that was white and blue to complete the patriotic color scheme, but then I saw all this green 😍 and I couldn’t resist. Lush green is my weakness. 🙈 I hope you all are having a fabulous 4th of July. 🧨 #fourthofjuly #independenceday #redress #happy #fireworks
