TYNAFIT was born in memory of my mum Bunmi Tina Apatira and today my mums sister and her daughter are running Race for Life in memory of my sweet and loving mother.
My mum went through untold health challenges, she was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was only 13 and I had to watch her go through so much pain and suffering.
She also became diabetic and had to inject herself with insulin twice a day, she subsequently developed heart problems and lost the use of one hand...and that is just the start of my mums health challenges.
Just after she turned 70, she fell and broke her collar bone and never recovered from that.
Mum died 3 years ago and I have to say it does not get easier without her, she was the best mum anyone could ask for and she ensured my brother and I lacked nothing.
The one thing my mum was never able to do was exercise because of all her health issues, I learned from that and now my life’s purpose is to get women to look after their health and wellbeing.
My mum travelled a lot in her lifetime and the one thing she loved to do was buy prints from every where she visited...without her TYNAFIT would never have been created...so here is my legacy to you mum, you will always be in my heart!!! My mum thought me to become the best me and never give up on anything I start. She will forever be my hero and inspiration to keep pushing forward even when things get tough. Love you Caroline and Eloise for taking part in race for life xxx .
