Shop eclectic gifts inspired by @debkass’ iconic OY/YO sculpture in @thejewishmuseum collection. Evoking joy and unity in its playful monumentalizing of classic New York slang, the sculpture uses culturally specific, yet universal lingo to communicate the collective pride and exasperation of living here with the twinned words #oy (a #Yiddish exclamation of alarm or bother) and #yo (an omnipresent New York greeting). Originally installed for a limited time in Brooklyn Bridge Park, OY/YO became an instant New York icon for tourists and residents of all backgrounds. #OYYO
Israeli-born, London-based designer Assa Ashuach has been at the forefront of #3Dprinting since 2003. His Helix Bracelet, a tactile and flexible spiral loop that fits most wrists, is produced using 3D printing technology. The bracelet’s design features amorphous lines that provide structural strength while keeping sculptural elements and offering a different look from every angle. Each #Helix #Bracelet is made in London and comes in a coordinating storage box. It’s the perfect statement piece that adds modern appeal to any summer outfit. Available in blue (shown), black, white, and hot pink 💙 . . . . @assaashuach #jewelry #3dprintedjewelry #sculpturaljewelry #jewelrydesign #museumgiftshop
New in the shop is the En-Gedi Kiddush Cup designed by Shira Keret of @ceremonials.official. As you scroll through the photos, you will see this complete #kiddushcup is actually comprised of two parts. The destruction of the cup into two distinct units gestures at the #kiddush ceremony itself, in which the cup passes from hand to hand only to return to the ceremony leader once the circle is complete. The text revealed when the bowl is separated from the base is the #Hebrew phrase “borei pri hagafen,” which is from the blessing over wine recited during #Shabbat and at holidays. The base, constructed from patinated silver-plated brass, gives each kiddush cup its own unique patina pattern and colors. Handcrafted in Israel, the En-Gedi Kiddush Cup comes in a beautiful wooden keepsake box🍷 . . . . #Judaica #Jewish #modernJudaica #contemporaryJudaica #Jewishdesign #madeinTelAviv #madeinIsrael #handcrafted #Jewishweddinggift #Jewishceremony #museumgiftshop #Judaicashop #Judaicagifts
