Winter Blues getting you down?😔 💙 Here's an encouraging and sweet reminder from our lovely ambassador @wholehealthchelsi💗💖💘 😘 Repost @wholehealthchelsi Stop and smell the flowers, while you still can. As you may already know, yesterday was the last day of summer. Soon our trees will be bare and grass will be slowly turning white. Of course, fall and winter are beautiful months on their own; but, many people tend to experience 'winter blues'.
What are some ways you can overcome winter blues this year?
1) start an activity now that you love that you can continue through winter (walking, going to the gym, indoor swimming, skating, etc..) 2) find something you enjoy to do outdoors in the winter, there are many activities to choose from. If you're dressed properly you will still love it. (Hiking, skating, snowboarding/skiing)
3) pick up a new hobby to keep your mind busy and you happy (sewing, reading, baking, drawing etc..) 4) eat healthy! In the winter many of us tend to hibernate and fill our bodies with more junky food. Try to continue eating.healtjy through every month of the year. Some of my winter favorites are my homemade soups, chilli and stews which are made from scratch and are full of delicious nutrients.
5) stay close with your friends and family. Try to visit your friends and family as often as you would in the summer. As, the more often you see the people you love, the more love you will feel.
I know winter is a little a ways and the weather is still gorgeous here in Southern Ontario but fall will slowly trinkle in. Start some hobbies and activities now to prevent yourself from feeling down this fall and winter.
